When considering all factors such as picture, sound, product features, and price the Tivax STB-T8 TV converter box is clearly the best TV converter box.

A quick look at this analog digital converter reveals that it has an excellent array of feature including all of the necessary features of a TV converter box.

This TV converter box is equipped with a program guide that is better than most other TV converter boxes. Its program guide displays show length and descriptions for several hours of programming. When using this TV converter box you are also able to use the scan or individual tuning functions. Finally it comes with the ability to personalize your closed captioning and the rare analog pass-through function.

The picture for this Tivax STB-T8 TV converter box is very good. In fact, when comparing it to other TV converter boxes we found that it was in the top 3 in regards to picture clarity. When viewing television with this one you get a picture that is compared to a DVD.

The Tivax STB-T9 is one of the best deals on the market because of its cheap price and excellent picture quality.

It comes with a fairly decent programming guide that includes show titles for current and upcoming shows. It also comes with adjustable closed captioning fonts. Finally the STB-T9 analog to digital converter box comes with an auto scan function to tune channels or lets you individually tune channels by using the on screen signal strength meter.

The picture for this TV converter box is better than that of most other TVconverter boxes when comparing them. The STB-T9 provides users with DVD picture which is rare among other TV converters.

When making a comparison of the sound of the Tivax is rated very well. The sound it provides with digital broadcasting is on par with other converter boxes and is an upgrade from analog TV sound.

It also is the first one that we have seen where you can either set the aspect ratio yourself and put it on an auto aspect ratio setting. The STB7766G TV converter boxes electronic program guide is consider to be very basic and just average when compared with other TV converter boxes. This TV converter box also comes with adjustable closed captioning text, a signal strength meter, and a detachable power adapter.

The picture clarity for the Venturer STB7766G DTV converter is slightly below that of the absolute top TV converter boxes. Its picture is a significant upgrade over analog pictures. When watching HD content there is some minor blurring and stretching though.

This digital TV converter box provides very good sound clearness that is comparable to all of the top TV converter boxes.

The Venturer TV converter box sells for a very low price of $50 which makes it a very attractive buy. As long as you don't need analog pass-through then this should be a great TV converter box for you.

It also comes with closed captioning adjustments and an signal strength meter for channel tuning. This TV converter box also comes with a program guide that displays show information and run time for current and upcoming shows. This TV converter is one of only a few that come with S-video output.

The picture clarity of the Apex DT250 TV converter box is very good when you are watching HDTV. When you are watching down convertered HD it is comparable to DVD quality. Unfortunately though, when you are watching SD content its picture clearness is just barely better than that of analog TV.

The sound clearness for the DT250 TV converter box is quite good. It is similar to the sound clarity of the Tivax stb-t8 and Channel Master CM-7000. This TV converter box provides almost perfectly clear sound.

As a whole the Apex DT250 TV converter box works quite well. As stated before, it is not the best TV converter box but also not the worst. It isn't a top of the DTV converter box but it will certainly get the job done. At a price of $65 is it a tad pricey but nothing to worry about.

When using this TV converter box you will notice that has a very good sound clearness that compares well with the best TV converter boxes.

When looking at the picture that this TV converter box provides you will see that its picture clearness is not that great. It is comparable to a good analog broadcast but it simply does not compare to how good other TV converter boxes picture clarity is.

Overall the Goodmind DTA 1000 analog digital TV converter is a pretty crappy digital converter box. The sound clarity of the Winegard RC-DT09A TV converter box is quite excellent. When listening to television with this TV converter box it eliminates most of the static that you are use to hearing when watching analog television broadcasts.

If you are looking for for a middle of the pack type of TV converter box then you should check out the Winegard RC-DT09A TV converter box. It comes with a good set of features and sells for a good price of $65.
